On the Wind

A full line of recycled and acid-free fine art paper products is now available from Strathmore Artist Papers, including its Windpower sketch pad line. Not only is the medium weight, lightly textured paper appropriate for any dry medium, it contains 30 percent post consumer fiber and is manufactured at a paper mill that purchased 100 percent wind renewable energy certificate products toward the production of the paper. Windpower paper products are certified through the Green-e Marketplace Program, administered by the Nonprofit Center for Resource Solutions in San Francisco, assuring customers that Strathmore purchases certified renewable energy.

Wind turbines are emission free and use only about 5 percent of the land on which they are sited. That means the land can be used for other purposes, including farming. And because wind turbines do not release greenhouse gases, they do not contribute to global warming.

Strathmore Windpower sketch pads are available in five sizes, with micro perforated sheets that are easy to tear out.
